“DEVELOPMENT ROUND TABLE“

– Working & Studying –

The Changing Trends of a young workforce

Tomorrow’s Leaders Summit will invite young leaders to a half day Development Round table to discuss the involvement of the youth in the education process. This will be part of the lead in program for the next Tomorrow’s Leaders Summit

Malaysia currently has 71,600 unemployed fresh graduates, while the overall economy is growing at 5.5% annually, with unemployment at only 3.2%. “Youth are looking for increased involvement in the economic growth of the economy but how employable and their industry relevance for many of them still needs to be addressed.  Moving forward all parties need to understand this and the opportunity it represents” stated Nordin Abdullah, Organizing Chairman of Tomorrow’s Leaders Summit.

The issues raised and recommendations made by the youth will be further discussed during Tomorrow’s Leaders Summit as countries look at improving education and addressing youth unemployment issues which have gripped developed and developing countries alike.
