KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 – As part of the Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) 2012, a group of Tomorrow’s Leaders Summit Volunteers contributed their Sunday, to assist during the MMK Charity Program, which was held to raise awareness and funds for local orphanages.  Kebaya, a tradition dress worn in Malaysia and other parts of South East Asia, worn by all races and has become increasing popular fashion amongst young women who want to look good and still stay in touch with the countries cultural heritage.

The Charity Program was officiated by the Y.B. Senator Puan Heng Seai Kie, the Deputy Minister of Woman, Family & Community Development.   Datin Maylene Yong also graced the occasion with several Beauty Queens including Mrs. Malaysia Globe 2012, Mrs. Malaysia Globe 2012/13, Mrs. Southeast Asia 2012, Mrs. Malaysia Universe 2012/13, Mrs. Malaysia Int. World 2012, and Miss Petite World 2012 with the theme “Do Something Good Start from Today”.

The event raised several thousand Ringgit in aid of 6 local orphanages, “I like to help, and I am glad that some charity work has be done for these children in a period of the year which does not see as much charity work done”, stated Zaidatul Nordin – Volunteer Coordinator of TLS.
